38 Dead From Flood in Orissa

Another eleven dead bodies were found in Orissa after flooding stopped, adding to the additional 27 alread found dead. The Indian government cancelled holiday leave of their employees to help in rescue and relief even though it is Dussehra.

This is the second wave of flooding which has been going on for over a week. The government has been dropping food in through helicopter.
