Ancient tracks found in UAE

Elephant footprints have been discovered by palaeontologists in the UAE, which are dated at seven million years old! This makes them the oldest known footprints to be preserved.
The footprints came from a herd of at least 13 elephants, ranging from adults to a young calf, as they walked through mud. The traces hardened, became buried and now have become exposed once more through erosion. They are the oldest fossil evidence of an elephant herd.
